I recently customized Outlook quite a bit by changing columns, grouping options, reading pane settings, and folder arrangements. Unfortunately, after experimenting with different layouts, everything became cluttered and difficult to use. I couldn’t even remember which settings I had changed.
After digging through Microsoft forums, I discovered that you can Reset Outlook View to Default and remove all the custom view changes. It was much faster than manually fixing every folder. Within minutes, Outlook looked almost exactly like it did when I first installed it.
While troubleshooting, I also found discussions mentioning that display issues sometimes happen when Outlook profiles or PST files become damaged.
