What are some of the challenges you face as a tutor? For example, keeping students motivated, meeting high expectations, handling difficult questions you may not know the answer to, etc. How do you address these challenges?
Sometimes I have to figure out questions that I don’t know the answer to, and in those cases I honestly tell the students that I don’t know, but I promise to find a solution and come back with an answer. This helps create an atmosphere of trust and shows that the teacher is learning too.
